My first novella into the world of the ‘Tales of Icklesham Hall’. It’s taken a while, and there is plenty of potential for future stories.

‘On the windswept Sussex coast, Charlotte Blackmore is drawn into a dangerous web of smuggling, betrayal and corruption when a mysterious book reveals the secrets of a criminal network reaching from the coast to London. With her father’s reputation, her family’s safety and the truth at stake, Charlotte must join forces with the enigmatic Captain Ashcroft to outwit ruthless smugglers and the sinister Elias Quayle. Fast paced and filled with intrigue, Smugglers End is Tanya Reddin’s gripping debut novella.’

A digital copy of the book is available now for download.

I have just read this novella and found it an absolute delight. The conception of history and modern day intrigued me to start with, but I was very quickly drawn into the story. It seemed as though the story line itself was happening in current time. I loved it and couldn’t put it down until the end. Even if you don’t read regularly, it is well worth the effort and is very cleverly orchestrated.

Absolutely loved this novella, as a local person I loved the connection to the local history and could really visualize times past of smugglers and corruption and even modern history.
    Well written and well researched..

Beautifully written with great attention to detail, this novella draws you in! The references to local and surrounding places gives an immersive element to the reader’s experience too. Believable characters and plenty of action, I can’t wait to see where Part 2 takes us!
